August Cookbook Giveaway

Last month the cookbook giveaway here at The Crispy Cook was for a gently used copy of The Graham Kerr Cookbook and I will be sending the Galloping Gourmet off to Amanda on Maui. Congrats Amanda and happy cooking!

For the August cookbook giveaway, we turn to the humble spud. I am offering a copy of:

The Popular Potato: Best Recipes, by Valwyn McMonigal, Montreal: Tormont Publications, 1995. This softcover 96-page cookbook focuses on everyone's favorite tuber, including sweet potatoes and features many color photos. Learn how to make Fettuccine with Potato and Tomato Sauce, Potato Salad with Spicy Mayonnaise, Huancaina Papas, Potatoes with Beef 'n' Beer and many other terrific tuber recipes. A lightly scuffed copy.

To enter the cookbook giveaway, all you have to do is leave a comment below by the deadline of August 31, midnight, and a winner will be randomly picked after that date. Good luck to everyone!

Remember, I also have another ongoing giveaway this month: a grocery tote bag full of four boxes of Betty Crocker Gluten-Free baking mixes plus some other treats, so be sure to stop back to that post and leave a comment if you would like a chance to enter. The deadline for the Betty Crocker giveaway is August 15. Sadly, I must limit the Betty Crocker giveaway to U.S. residents only.

My hubby said he'd give up potatoes before he'd give up rice. I told him I thought he was crazy. This is my kind of cookbook.
