Fortunately I don't have nettles in my yard (unfortunately there isn't any soil for them to invade) but I am kicking myself for not buying nettles at a farmers market months ago because I have seen interesting soup recipes since then (and I made the polenta quinoa sticks recipe last week and loved it - thanks)Johanna GGGhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08594201473931487490noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1889046160451485982.post-25829806145006167332008-06-05T22:32:00.000-04:002008-06-05T22:32:00.000-04:00Rachel,What an interesting post!I've got a questio...Rachel,
What an interesting post!

I've got a question posed on my blog about flour brands and where to buy. Would you please stop by and give me your two cents? Yeah, you have to read the WHOLE chapter.

The summer before we started high school, a friend of mine discovered Stalking the Wild Asparagus. We didn't have any wild asparagus, so we turned to the chapter on mulberries. We made lots of mulberry pies. Both our families ate them! They were pretty good!

To be sneaky, we also made some mulberry wine. Hee hee! We knew nothing about wine or how it should taste. We decided it tasted okay when mixed with a lot of orange juice.

My friend went on to become a full blown hippie in high school. Although I chose a more conservative path, I was one of the girls who protested the dress code by boldly wearing a pants suit to school when only skirts were allowed. You might say I paved the way for Hillary Clinton.Gluten free Kayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09011722779155029225noreply@blogger.com
