I love to can so much that in winter I can chicken and dumplings(without the dumplings), beef stew, soups and more. Anyways, I love this website. What a blast and a hoot to make your own pickles! Such a wonderful feeling of satisfaction. I've been cooking my tomatoes at night, then processing them the next day. I freeze my sauce in baggies, so small batches are okay with me.

I made ketchup with my very fist tomatoes. It was so good I fried up some potatoes and onions. Heaven! I started out with two quarts of tomatoes and ended up with one cup of ketchup. Worth it!

The oven roasted tomatoes sound very interesting.

Thanks for sharing your tales from Tomatoland!Gluten free Kayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09011722779155029225noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1889046160451485982.post-63050265842387431662008-09-07T11:14:00.000-04:002008-09-07T11:14:00.000-04:00Looks great! you must have an amazing harvest.Looks great! you must have an amazing harvest.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1889046160451485982.post-21592973117275779002008-09-07T10:19:00.000-04:002008-09-07T10:19:00.000-04:00Oh how wonderful to bottle your own tomato sauce m...Oh how wonderful to bottle your own tomato sauce made with home-grown tomatoes!
